The Electrix project scope included:

  • Supply and installation of a 3km 33kV overhead line along with preparation of 11kV hardware for future works.
  • Installation of 33kV and 11kV pad mounted transformers and associated switchgear.
  • Installation and commissioning of associated generators for the supply of construction power.
  • All electrical and instrumentation cabling and equipment.
  • Supply of PLC plant automation system and, through our subcontractor, AIT, supply of the Function Description Specification and PLC programming for the complete operation of the pump station.

This project was successfully completed as a partnership with McConnell Dowell Australia with both parties working as a single team to ensure the success of the project. The Electrix workforce comprised peak manning of 8 electricians and Instrument technicians plus a Project Supervisor.

 

This project is a further demonstration of Electrix capability to undertake diverse electrical projects in regional locations. By working in close cooperation with McConnell Dowell the Group was able to provide a total in-house capability for all project disciplines and ensure single point responsibility and a seamless service delivery for the customer.
